If you condemned the violence at the BLM protest last week but remained silent today, or if you condemned the violence today but remained silenced last week, you donβt deserve to be taken seriously. There was no excuse for the violence in either case. Both deserve condemnation.
But it's not just stupidity
The BBC is now run by a mixture of marketing people and petty bureaucrats
It used to have a large sprinkling of people who'd actually made programmes
Not any more
So BBC decisions are made by persons whose main concern is not losing their jobs...
Utterly, utterly stupid. Only an idiot with no understanding whatsoever of satire would take this decision. A child, perhaps. Someone who is trying too hard, maybe. A reasonable grown up? Nope.
@soniasodha You are literally differentiating racism. Racism is racism. Simple. Labour are about to tank again. No lessons learnt from the last GE at all βΉοΈ
The treatment of George Floyd was barbaric and inhuman.
Racism is an evil which must be challenged wherever it raises its head.
I don't support the BLM movement; I'm not keen on displays of mass public conformism; and I don't like statues being topped without a public debate.
To declare what Mr #Cummings did, which many saw a stupid, as the justification for hundreds of thousands going on a march and breaking social distancing rules etc, which by the same logic is also stupid, is stupid.
