I proudly avoided the five sided circus building and stayed on the water front. Retired after command at sea. When I have drinks with my buddies who are Flags now, they are generally not happy. I don’t even know what half these Pentagon jockies do all day. At least get to a fleet staff where you do something related to an ocean going warship! (Shipyard maintenance support gets a pass because that is a necessary evil…)
@A_Sober_Drunk@edge_grindr It’s a challenging program. Not only will he serve his country in a demanding environment but he will gain a foundation of excellence that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended!
@spartanv33@USN_Submariner The guy on Salt Lake City they modeled Jonesy after later became an ACINT guy...he rode my boat on deployment in 2009 for his last mission. Great guy and told me lots of stories. (and we had some fun of our own...;))
I wouldn’t put it like that. I would say he was more well known as a staff leader and Navy cheerleader type. Pentagon jockey. Which seems to have worked out well for him! 😉
Typical Flag officer type. He was a good boss for me by basically leaving me alone but supportive when I needed top cover.
I once again draw your attention to the 200 week moving average in Bitcoin. Since 2019 the CAGR has been about 56% a year always going up and to the right.
Ignore the ups and downs daily and even weekly.
Buy when it is near the 200 Week MA. Hold. Simple.
@IndefiniteLT The walk from the parking lot outside Pearl Harbor Shipyard to DD3 seemed about 42 miles each way when I was ENG in overhaul…many never made it…
