@ThisDayFSU@GarnetandGreatA Our AD, Howard Danford, added Volleyball and Gymnastics as varsity sports. The gymnastics coach, Hartley Price, came from Illinois. Even though we didnโt have good equipment or good competition, gymnasts loved Price. He was the reason we had good teams for about 10 years.
@ThisDayFSU@GarnetandGreatA Bill almost won this national championship by himself. He scored 23 points. Second place Illinois and Southern Cal each scored 23.5 as a team. Carmine Regna scored 3 points which won us the national championship.
@ThisDayFSU@FSUHoops@FSUCoachHam@chuckwalshfsu@EasyVeazeyNG@GarnetandGreatA I had the privilege of watching King in person. He was some shooter! He played before the 3-point shot was enacted - many of his buckets would have been 3 pointers. He was injured at the beginning of his senior year. We had a pretty good team that year until the injury.
@DoubleFriesPod In the NCAA tennis doubles competition #13 Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc/Joshua Dous-Karpenschief (FSU) d. #40 Jacob Bullard/Murphy Cassone (ASU) 6-4, 2-6, 1-0(6) - they are now in the semi-finals. First time in FSU history this has happened.
@jbf1755 Wow, thatโs interesting. I guess their father didnโt teach them. I allows get out of the way for the ladies, and open their doors, and when I walk with my wife sheโs always on the inside so she doesnโt have to bump into anyone coming the other way.
