@fredsladygodiva Actually, on further thought, who knows about the original story? “Ga-ga goo-goo” was a very common baby talk phrase, so saying “radio ga-ga, radio goo-goo” works. Why would they pair “caca” with “goo-goo”? And “radio blah-blah” also fits the baby talk / nonsense words theme.

@fredsladygodiva Great story, but listen to it yourself, and it’s very clearly “ga ga”.

I have no doubt the story that it was originally written as “caca” is true, but either it got changed before recording or was re-recorded.

Apparently the “we never changed it!” story was irresistible though.

@Bugimus I agree it’s likely other people on the mountain. The way the figures move is very similar to how the kids in the foreground are moving, so probably just other people also playing around in the snow.

@exQUIZitely @RichardWByers The “graphics” weren’t awesome, as they weren’t even graphics. It was hand-drawn animation transferred to analog LaserDisc video. It had a player that could jump between playing different scenes on the LaserDisc and some code that figured out where to branch based on each tap.

@mnl416 @BRYN_BORANGA Ha, I was going to mention that movie as well. I’d be surprised if there were only 10, as it went on and on and on. I started getting a bit annoyed, but then it went on so long it actually became comical.

(I assume anyone who helped fund the movie got a production credit.)

@Bugimus @greg_thornbury After the P-G film was created, Patterson went all in on promoting it. He tried to get scientists to watch it, he sold limited rights to the BBC, and he did his “four-walling” tour.

There would be little time (or motive) for an extensive reenactment.
