🚨 SERIOUS QUESTION FOR FLORIDA OFFICIALS:

Does this use of government resources comply with Florida Statute §106.113?

Sheriff Grady Judd is discussing Amendment 3 from his official position, at his official desk, in a video distributed through the official Polk County Sheriff’s Office account, apparently using the same government production resources used for official county communications.

And the message urges Floridians to VOTE NO.

Florida Statute §106.113 restricts the expenditure of public funds for communications sent to electors concerning a ballot issue, regardless of whether the communication is factual or advocates passage or defeat.

Nobody is questioning Sheriff Judd’s personal right to oppose Amendment 3.

The question is much simpler:

Can taxpayer-funded government resources be used to produce and distribute that advocacy?

Attorney General Uthmeier and Governor DeSantis, I would genuinely like an answer.

Does this comply with §106.113?
