@HwsEleutheroi Obviously, these four people are crackpots. In any event, Sola Scriptura lends greatly to heretical beliefs on matters of faith and morals. The post isn't a lie. It is inevitable.

You can click on the footnotes to see the Scripture references and references to the Christian history cited by the Catechism.
@MikedAlamo@Pastor_Gabe@StarryBlueWater I did and I appreciate that. But all the black ink on the left is like the black ink in the Catechism. The Catechism is also deeply tied to Scripture, so in that way, our references are similar. Just not in the way Scripture is interpreted by them.
@MikedAlamo@Pastor_Gabe@StarryBlueWater Since we are posting references which are not Scripture itself (but which reference Scripture), the Catholic Catechism is helpful:
@JamesMartinSJ I truly appreciate Pope Leo's clarity on this. Bless the person & pray for his or her repentance and desire to live life in the truth of Christ. Don't pretend, pat them on the head and say, "everything is fine" just to make them feel good. Card. Marx's method is contrary to love.
@MikedAlamo@Pastor_Gabe@StarryBlueWater No confusion here. The confusion comes only from the Protestant insistence that the Sola's are Scriptural. Sola Scriptura & Sola Fide (& once saved always saved) are manmade traditions not found in Scripture. If you can point to the verses which explicitly teach these, please do.
@HwsEleutheroi This is helpful. So it is clear that the question had nothing to do with a State Religion or a legally declared official religion of any government....
@MikedAlamo@Pastor_Gabe@StarryBlueWater The rest of Scripture is totally consistent with faith and works. Christ Himself even said that he would recognize those who feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned. He also said that he would not recognize those who didn't do this to the least of our brothers.
@Pastor_Gabe@StarryBlueWater Faith AND works. It is obvious to everyone if they simply read Scripture. Why must you ignore Scripture just to follow a tradition of man that came along 1500 years after the beginning Christianity?
@DennyBurk Denny, you are ignoring the context. A whacky Cardinal in Germany has issued a declaration that German priests can (or should) bless same-sex intimate relationships. Knowing that the LGBT activists will look at the Pope's correction and claim that the Church is hung up on sex...
@HwsEleutheroi James, you are failing to take things in context. Would you prefer a law which required everyone to be Christian? Freedom of religion is good and wise.
@HwsEleutheroi Regarding Ryan Hurd's Catholic conversion: I find a common theme in those who convert to Catholicism and another common theme in those to divert from Catholicism.
