Robert George Dylan Willis: 1949-2019
Five years ago today, the world lost Bob Willis.
We will continue to fight for his legacy and spread awareness around Prostate Cancer.
RIP Bob ๐
Just two weeks to go until our final Blue for Bob. ๐
On 14th July, England will take on India in an ODI.

One of the things weโve been proud to support is organisations that help people navigate grief. Charities such as @tnncharity@DorothyParkes & @space2grieve all offer vital spaces for people coping with losing a loved one.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make that possible
Last year, the cricketing community once again came together for Blue for Bob. ๐
This year, weโll be doing it one final time with Blue for Bob 6, a true six and out in cricketing terms.
Weโre hoping to finish on a high and raise as much as possible.
#BlueForBob ๐
Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK.
Due to the generosity of our supporters & the cricketing community, weโve been able to fund pioneering research that could improve how prostate cancer is detected in the future
Thank you to all who have fundraised for us!
Bob produced some of the most memorable moments the game has seen โ performances that still stand out in cricketing history. But Blue for Bob is about more than those highlights.
Itโs about using Bobโs legacy to raise funds & awareness to support research into better testing.
Behind the scenes, we support pioneering prostate cancer research and community programmes that improve outcomes for men and families affected by the disease. From innovative diagnostic tests to local awareness and support initiatives, our partnerships are helping drive progress.
Just one month to go until Blue for Bob returns. ๐
This year, we are once again turning the crowd blue in support of the Bob Willis Fund, against the backdrop of England taking on India in an ODI.

Itโs the last EVER Blue For Bob Day this July 14th. We are only going to ask for help one last time.
People can help us turn Edgbaston Blue digitally and dedicate the seat to someone they love.

๐๐ผ๐ฉต๐ one last time for Bob.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. For Black men, the risk is even higher: around 1 in 4.
Thanks to our generous supporters, weโve been able to shed light on these stats & support research into improved testing.

Bob Willis was known to millions as a cricketing great โ an England captain, a fierce competitor and one of the gameโs most iconic fast bowlers.
But to those closest to him, he was so much more than that.
A husband. A father. A grandfather. A friend.
This year, Blue for Bob supporters can sponsor a virtual โBlue Seatโ at Edgbaston in honour of someone affected by prostate cancer. ๐
By dedicating a seat, supporters can leave a personal message and help turn @Edgbaston blue for the final Blue for Bob. ๐๐

Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in England, yet there is still no reliable national screening programme. Since its launch, the Bob Willis Fund has raised more than ยฃ2.2 million to support research into better testing for prostate cancer. ๐

At the weekend, we returned to @StokeDabernonCC, the place where Bob first played, to announce Blue for Bob 6.
Bob's daughter, son-in-law & 9-year-old grandson all played and our raffle, with plenty of prizes announced by Bob's brother, raised over ยฃ600.

Today, on what would've been Bob's birthday, we're thrilled to announce that Blue for Bob is back on the 14th July. ๐ In true cricket style, this will be our sixth and final Blue for Bob day โ a proper six and out. Mark it in your diaries!
