Dear network marketers,
It's weird to share your paycheck on social media... not a single other profession that I can think of does this. We should all agree to stop.
Sincerely, Bob
Most network marketers once said, "I'll NEVER be in network marketing"... and now they're scared to talk to people about network marketing...
If no one was bold enough to share it with you, where would you be right now?
VALUE is communicated when you can show somebody that what you have is the potential solution to something they're struggling with. It's not universal. Everyone's problems are different, so there is NO SUCH THING as a "one size fits all" sales pitch.
What network marketers think creating value is:
telling people about how their product works, the ingredients in it, or how great the sale price is
What creating value ACTUALLY is:
understanding your prospects' unique situation and framing your solution around their problems
So before sending your link, ask "Hey I'm so excited you're reaching out but I'm curious what was it that prompted you to reach out?" because your job is to frame the solution (your offer) within the context of what they're looking for (you won't know what it is until you ASK)!
Unpopular opinion: if someone reaches out and ASKS YOU for your link to sign up...
DO NOT JUST HAND OVER THE INFORMATION. You need to provide value and connect with them first.
What good is making a million bucks if you've sacrificed your integrity to get there?
To me, the WAY you build your business and the way you treat people on your road to success is WAY more important than the number in your bank account.
The better way to do business in 2023? Provide VALUE (in the form of teaching + sharing your mission, vision & values) on social media, and save the selling for 1-on-1 conversations.
You'll spend 3x the amount of time prospecting, recruiting, training, and working with (i.e. hand holding) people that AREN'T committed to making a change than you would those that DO.
Studies shows 80% of sales are made between the 5th - 12th interaction with a prospect.
Most salespeople never follow up with a prospect more than once or twice. See the problem?
Lemme get this straight... you'll buy any random product from a random company you see on an Instagram ad... but you're SKEPTICAL to buy a product from a good friend of yours in network marketing?
It's not your job as a leader to make the people in your downline successful. Work with the people that deserve your support, not those that are NEEDY for your help!
