A TV news reporter once upon a time, then a stint as a telecommunications technology researcher, then a college instructor in Business and Media, now retired.
A neighbor is to old now to safely run his old hay rig.
So I jumped on.
Iโll tell you what folks , weโre spoiled today! This ol Oliver ran so good she didnโt wanna shut down.๐
@JackPosobiec Philโs won the first game 10-5 despite Phillies catcher Tim McCarver hitting what would have been a grand slam but was ruled a three-run single after he passed teammate Garry Maddox on the basepaths.
Pirates took the nightcap 7-1.
@JackPosobiec I remember watching a Pirates-Phillies doubleheader at Three Rivers Stadium with my Dad and brothers. We
then crossed the Allegheny on the Gateway Clipper to watch an excellent fireworks show from Point State Park. Also the โBicentennial Stateโ license plates.
So I watched Project Hail Mary last night and REALLY enjoyed it--I highly recommend.
(No, I have not read the book yet, but now I will.)
This is movie is apparently a box office smash.
What mystifies me is how Hollywood completely misses how most Americans yearn for this kind of story in their movies.
It's such an easy formula to follow:
1. Hero's journey.
2. Charismatic leading man (or woman).
3. Thoughtful plot and writing that make the viewer think.
4. No DEI, no political messaging of any kind.
5. Interpersonal story of love and sacrifice between the main characters.
6. High adventure.
7. Happy ending.
It's such an easy formula to follow, and it was once the norm in Hollywood.
How did they manage to lose sight of this and destroy their own industry?
So, while people are lying about me in spaces and trying to further damage me on X, I'll be addressing it later.
I just got to the beach house, and this is my view. Be back later, friends.
To every American that wanted that soldier caught and hurt or murdered I got two words for you.
Fuck You
I saw so many posts by you deranged people you shouldnโt call yourselves Americans youโre piles of shit.
Good Night
I used to view Donald Trump simply as a solid, effective president... someone who delivered results on the economy, borders, and foreign policy without all the usual political polish.
But over time, I've come to see something much bigger: the entire American political system has been rotten and corrupt for decades. It's not just isolated scandals or bad actors; it's a deeply entrenched network of career politicians, unelected bureaucrats, lobbyists, intelligence agencies, and media gatekeepers who operate as a self-protecting "uniparty" or "swamp."
They prioritize their own power, insider deals, endless wars, and special interests over the actual needs of everyday Americans. Elections often feel like theater, with the same outcomes no matter who winsโmore debt, more control, more erosion of freedoms.
What sets Trump apart is that he's the only major figure in modern politics who's truly taken on that machine head-on and actually shaken it. Previous leaders talked tough about reform but ultimately played along with the system, got rich from it, or were too tied into it to challenge it meaningfully.
Donald Trump, as a DC outsider who didn't need their approval or their money, has exposed the corruption, fought back against weaponized institutions, and forced the hidden power structures into the open... even when it meant relentless attacks, impeachments, indictments, and lawfare aimed directly at him and his children.
He's far from perfect, and the battle is far from over, but for the first time in my lifetime, someone has genuinely threatened the status quo and refused to back down. That's why the pushback against him has been so ferocious: he represents the real possibility of dismantling the corrupt system rather than just managing it.
To me, supporting him now isn't just about one good presidency... it's about finally having a fighter who's willing to take on the whole rigged game for the sake of the country, and God help us if he fails.
This is a PHENOMENAL IDEA: "What if President Trump announced that ICE agents were going to be supplementing TSA agents inside all of the airports."
The one KICKER that could cause Democrats to bend the knee immediately: "ICE agents are still being paid."
This would not only speed up the democrat induced wait times, but it would SURGE deportations and get them with their stuff already packed!
I support this.

The Iran war has done something no political consultant could have engineered. It has stripped the Democratic Party down to its bare operating principle โ in front of everyone โ in real time.
For years the hypocrisy was easier to hide. They could talk about human rights in the abstract. Democracy in theory. Women's rights as a campaign slogan. But the moment the United States moved to destroy a regime that has been murdering its own people since 1979 โ a regime that k!lls women for removing their hijabs, that hangs teenage wrestlers in public squares, that has financed every major terror network on earth for 47 years โ the Democratic Party had a choice.
Side with the Iranian people fighting for secular democratic freedom. Or side against Trump.
They chose against Trump. Which this time meant siding with the IRGC.
And people finally saw it.
Here's the ideology that produced that outcome. The Democratic Party's entire worldview runs on a single binary: oppressor versus oppressed. America is the oppressor. Therefore anyone fighting America is the oppressed โ even when they are the ones doing the murdering and oppressing. The IRGC hangs protesters in the streets and the left categorizes them as victims because they are anti-American. That is not a political position. That is a moral illness.
The Iranian people are in the streets. They are getting shot. They have been sacrificing their lives for secular democratic freedom โ the exact values the American left claims to champion. The left's response before the U.S. attacked: silence. The moment the U.S. attacked to help end the regime oppressing them: outrage.
That sequence tells you everything about what the party has become.
When your entire ideology collapses into opposition to one person, you no longer have an ideology. You have nothing. And the war with Iran proved it in real time โ not because anyone set a trap, but because the moment demanded a real answer and the party gave the only answer it has left.
Whatever Trump does is bad.
Even when what Trump did was strike the regime that has been murdering Americans and oppressing Iranians for nearly five decades.
If you are a lifelong Democrat feeling politically homeless tonight โ you did not abandon your party.

Some of you genuinely think Trump supporters believe this man is perfect. That he can do no wrong. That we're in some kind of cult.
We don't. He can. We aren't.
Some of us are just mature enough to say:
So here it is. My honest list.
The social media. The all-caps, impulsive posting, unnecessary jabs. Sometimes the best move is to shut up. Not every fire needs fuel. He could calm situations instantly if he stopped feeding the outrage machine.
The cockiness. It gets old. Tell me what's being done. Tell me what's coming. Skip the self-praise.
The personal attacks that go on too long. Call out what needs to be called out โ then move on.
He's real. Not rehearsed. Most politicians are polished and presidential โ and it sounds nice โ but it's usually fake. Trump is raw, blunt, and imperfect. He doesn't read from a script written by donors and PR teams. In a world full of performance politicians, that honesty is refreshing.
He answers questions and doesn't hide. He doesn't dodge the press. He doesn't disappear for days. He doesn't need a teleprompter to breathe. Even when reporters frame questions to trap him โ he still answers.
This is why millions still support him. Most candidates campaign on big promises, then magically can't deliver once in office. Trump follows through more consistently than any president I've seen in my lifetime.
He puts America first. You can hate his style โ but the results speak. He fights for our borders, our economy, our energy, our sovereignty, our safety. He doesn't bend to global pressure. He doesn't apologize for America.
I don't support Trump because I think he's perfect. I support him because I agree with his mission:
Stop pretending the only reason people support Trump is because they're brainwashed. Some of us simply looked at the outcomes โ and chose the leader who fights for our country.
Faith. Family. Freedom.
Exactly right. I remember the hostage crisis.
And I remember the shocking torture of William Buckley, and how my parents had to make us leave the room when the news came on to talk about him.
This has been a long time in coming and Trump is the one who finally has the stones to get it done.
