🚨BREAKING: Michelle Dewitt, mother of DeCarlos Brown Jr., is now framing her son’s murder of Iryna Zarutska as a mental-health stigma issue — and asking Iryna’s family to forgive him.

Brown is charged with stabbing the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee to death on a Charlotte light rail train in August 2025. She was sitting in her seat after work. He sat behind her. The attack was captured on video.

Dewitt says the system failed her son and wants people to stop stigmatizing mental illness. She says she hopes Iryna’s family can find it in their hearts to forgive him.

🚨 JOHN THUNE PUTS SENATE DEMOCRATS ON NOTICE over the SAVE America Act — promising a public vote that would force every senator to go ON THE RECORD.

“We will put the Democrats on the record.”

“We will get it on the floor, have a vote, and make sure the Democrats are on the record.”

The legislation would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and photo identification when casting a ballot. Thune has repeatedly cited polling showing voter-ID requirements receiving support above 80%.
