Yesterday, Keisha Lance Bottoms said “Atlanta didn’t burn” when she was mayor.
She said "this city literally was burning" when she was in charge.
Her dereliction of duty is disqualifying, and her attempts at tricking Georgians into forgetting what happened is disgraceful.
I was never supposed to be running for governor, standing on a debate stage later tonight, or asking Georgians for their vote on November 3rd.
My father left when I was 9 months old. My mother battled alcoholism. I ran away from home when I was 12, lived in 5 different foster homes, and went to 13 different schools.
When I couldn’t afford college, I went into straight commission sales, and I’ve owned my own business ever since I was 21 years old.
I built a business from nothing, created thousands of jobs, and lived my American Dream.
I am running because I want every Georgian to have the same shot that I did, and I’m asking for your vote 28 days from now.
Through the Fostering Success Act, we’ve been able to put hundreds of Georgia’s foster kids through college. We cover their tuition, boarding, and books, and give each of them a life coach.
I’m so proud of each of our students, and recently a few of them gave me the surprise of a lifetime.
