Calling on all relevant authorities to act on the recklessness at Ofankor Barrier Highway.
Let the lives lost on 13th August and the 12-year-old girl who lost both legs not be in vain.
Arrest, fine and hold offenders accountable. PERIOD. 🙏🏾
The $97 million Akuffo-Addo wasted on the national cathedral could've been use to complete this hospital.
He chose the national cathedral over completing this hospital in his home region.
We visited the abandoned Koforidua Regional Hospital after you pointed us to it. We will be visiting the others to bring them to national attention.
If you know about any abandoned projects, please click on the link in the comments and share them with us.
The best step is to report these things to us whenever it happens. Hospitals who are credentialed MUST not charge you for services covered under the NHIS. It is illegal. PLEASE REPORT THEM TO US.
Thank you for raising this, and I want to answer you directly, publicly, because you deserve that and so does everyone reading.
What happened to you is not right. It is not normal. It is illegal. If you are a valid NHIS member and you were charged for services and medicines the scheme covers, that is a co-payment, and no credentialed facility, public or private, is permitted to do it. Nearly GH¢400 out of your pocket at a government hospital while holding a valid card is exactly the practice we are working to end.
Two things you should know. This year alone, the NHIA has paid approximately GH¢1.46 billion in claims to facilities across the country, public, private and mission, so that they are reimbursed and have no reason to charge you at the counter. And we have reviewed and increased tariffs, which had been left untouched for years, so that reimbursement now reflects the real cost of treating conditions like malaria, medicines included. The excuse for charging illegally is gone.
So please let us make this right. Call our call centre or send us a DM with your receipts and the facility's name, and we will act on it.
And to everyone reading: this is exactly what you must report. Do not pay quietly and walk away. Tell us, with your evidence, and we will deal with it. That is the only way we end it, together. 🇬🇭
Customs Commissioner Mr. Aaron Kanor paid an unannounced visit to the Tema Port to engage with officers on duty and assess their operations.
During the visit, he identified several luxury and heavy-duty vehicles that had been parked at the port for an extended period and tasked the officers to expedite their processing because delays were locking up potential revenue for the state.

A must watch video and share as well. While most of our rivers and forests are under seige from illegal miners poisoning our flora and fauna, we are at the mercy of murderous and greedy traders adding more poisonous chemicals to hasten the ripening of fruits and vegetables. The FDA and GSA must adopt such videos to intensify education against the use of these chemicals and stop their importation.
