BREAKING: Donald Trump releases a new statement claiming that Democrats shouldn't be allowed to investigate him.

Specifically Trump says the following:

"The Radical Left Democrat Thugs shouldn’t be allowed to investigate me during, and in the middle of, my campaign for President. Why didn’t they file these ridiculous charges 2.5 years ago? They waited because they wanted to illegally and negatively influence the 2024 Presidential Election, arguably the most important Election in the history of the USA. We are going to take our now Third World Nation (Airports, Elections, Roads/Highways, Borders, etc.) and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. BE STRONG!"

This argument is flawed in many ways. You can't charge someone with a crime before thoroughly investigating that alleged crime. 2.5 years for an investigation is not entirely abnormal for white collar crime.

We all know very well that if Trump was prosecuted 2.5 years ago, he would be arguing that they indicted him without even investigating, and that they were just waiting for him to leave office to immediately indict him.

The rule of law will prevail. If he's innocent, so be it, and good for him. If he's guilty, then good for the DOJ.

I think we should all agree that we should have trials before the 2024 election.
