Islam, in its doctrinal and political form, rejects the core Western principles of free speech, equal rights, and secular law & contrasts with America’s foundation of liberty and limited government, stating that a system built on submission and supremacy cannot coexist with one built on individual freedom.
Clearly a long-standing position that cultural and ideological differences should not be ignored. These are not fringeviews but issues rooted in the religion’s teachings and visible in public calls from certain religious leaders.
