Not every conversation we have with student-athletes should be about sports medicine or the sport itself.
“How was your weekend?”
“What’s your go to meal when you visit family?”
“See anything good on Netflix lately?”
Put the person above all else.
Happy Monday. Set the tone.

Unusually great. Having uncommon qualities. Extraordinary. Exceptional. Remarkable.
No one better exemplifies that than @makennahsdad#RollTide
@makennahsdad has been a true role model of mine for as long as I can remember as an AT.
No finer example of how much ATs love their athletes and the bonds that are formed. 🥲❤️

@ATCanonymous Power 5 football. Ended up at a great D3 first year out due to Covid and loved it. Landed at a power 5 the next year and left the field following the season. Had I stayed at for D3, it’s not likely I would have left the field.
I’ve received many calls and messages from ATs curious about the transition to Stryker Trauma. Our territory is hiring in Bangor, ME. Please message me if interested.

The thing about this new generation of AT’s is that we were taught about boundaries in the profession. It is unfortunate that this is viewed as being lazy or not “all in” when in reality we just understand the concept of taking care of ourselves & not pouring from an empty cup.
@JoeAratari Thank you for reaching out, Joe. I’ve spoken with several S&C professionals considering making the jump. It would be detrimental for many programs and we must find a way to do better as a whole to create a better environment for young talent to develop.
