@aaksoy87 A6: Through immersion or performance, someone can get figuratively lost in a game. This would make him/her distant from the real world society. Knowing this would not happen to only one person we can kind of relate it to drug addiction: not everyone gets addicted. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A5: Using Twitter as an example, you get many users posting highly inappropriate content that would never be seen in mainstream journalism. Twitter doesn't have a filter until someone flags it, which makes it a "free for all" when posting content unlike mainstream. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A4: Call of Duty offers an Immersion. When playing the game you cannot help but stay concentrated on the tv screen no matter the distraction. In a sense, you forgot about the real world. #COMS3320

@aaksoy87 A3: Trump and his Russian affairs were highlighted during his run for president. This video is poking fun at Putin by him having his shirt off & depicting him as a "friendly" person by having a Russian lady explain why she loves it there with a scared face. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A2: Minnie Mouse breaks her cultural code, by looking like she's doing drugs. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A1: Something I thought was interesting, they had a virtual NBA game happen through the game NBA2K20 it was the '96 Bulls vs the '01 Lakers. This was somewhat an unpredicted game (since it never happened) so the game was kind of thrilling. #COMS3320

@aaksoy87 A6:Women are seen as the care takers. When the mom came and asked "what did you do to him" and immediately started treated him with brandy and chili powder (Believing it will cure him). The impression is: the mom thought his girlfriend is not fit to take care of her son #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A5: Its a little awkward greeting new/old friends. I almost feel disrespectful because shaking hands is a big influence on first impression to me. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A5: Traditionally, birthdays are celebrated at a restaurant, bar, or even a house with everyones friends and family. Now, during this "shelter-in-place" we have resorted to making video collages. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A4: This sets the frame that society should be taking this seriously since this is not a part of our norm as a society. This is selection because this image focuses more on wearing masks than washing hands, social distancing etc. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A3: The messages by the media has switched I believe all of our perceptions throughout the past month. It was not suppose to be a big deal at first, then it blew up! Now were kind of have our lives on pause. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A2:"Front of stage refers to those performances that occur in full view of an audience" (Ott&Mack2020). Digitally speaking twitter could be an example because there are hundreds of people looking or can look at a tweet. I believe this is more public than the real world #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A1:Based on setting, I believe that this had made education a little harder. The school/study hall setting has a lot less distractions and homework is really the only thing to do. versus at home I have constant distractions. (Ott & Mack 2020) #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 Q7:This might be because the media tries to relate to the audiences through nostalgia. The audience is also seen as a cultural group, for instance if a slogan "Never Forget" comes up the entire United States population will immediately think of 9/11. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A6: I decoded significant songs by relating them personally to me and what I am feeling at the moment. I also use songs to visualize something I am trying to pursue (in sports). Its important to me because it gives me a chance to express my feelings and visualize. #COMS3320

[Bobby Rinaldi @BobbyRinaldi32]

@aaksoy87 A5: I believe the new segments about COVID- 19 are Dominant. Seeing that this is from a international perspective, have been using a universal code to describe whats going on. #COMS3320
