In a series RLC circuit, resistance does more than reduce the current. It causes the oscillations to decay and slightly lowers their frequency.
The decay rate is set by β = R/2L, so the amplitude falls as e⁻ᵝᵗ. The damped frequency is
ω = √(1/LC − (R/2L)²)
That small resistance is what turns an ideal endless oscillation into one that gradually dies away.
The useful trick with Gauss’s law is knowing when symmetry does the work. For a spherical charge distribution, the electric field outside depends only on the total enclosed charge and falls as (1/r^2). Inside a uniformly charged spherical shell, the net field is exactly zero. That result comes straight from the geometry of the field.
Classic Southern commentary. If you say, "Do you support our armed forces?" "Oh absolutely, I love our brave men and women in uniform!" "Do you support LGBT rights?" "Well we are all God's children..." So yes but actually no lol. They own doublespeak
Dolly Parton on supporting the LGBTQ+ community (2016): “I do not believe we should criticize and judge other people. If you’re the fine Christian you think you are, why are you judging people? I just think we should be more loving, more caring. We are who we are. If you’re gay, you’re gay. If you’re straight, you’re straight. You should be allowed to be how you are and who you are”
@NathanielABloom Yeah no I basically agree with you, I like their posts for sure. Unfortunately, like you said, not reliable for deep insight into the hidden meanings of art generally.
@NathanielABloom I'm guilty of it so I'm being hypocritical, but yeah. It doesn't create anything fundamentally. There is even an Ignatz-CB-CC sphere that is too ironic in my opinion, at least on Twitter
@martinmrmar Ok what am I missing, it's not already factored like in the sense of high school algebra? Or are we talking Zn? I'm not seeing the punchline
@NathanielABloom Like do we even need to say anything? Qenis? That's the best we've got? Yes it's ironic, ha ha, it looks funny. OMG. The hate for the book and, more precisely, serious ideas was overwhelming. Very disappointing
@NathanielABloom Yeah, it's just so sad how far we have fallen. I'm not sure how to eradicate the disease we have where people view anything that isn't STEM as a BS degree. They concede culture and then complain about Woke, total idiots. Richard and Mark can hopefully begin to fix this
@NathanielABloom Yeah we just have to adapt to the reality of the world you know, and needless to say a modern right wing administration isn't too keen on funding the liberal arts
He asked a legitimate question and because Vance has no defensible answer and cannot blame Biden, he attacks the reporter and takes offense then moves on
