@eyejosh I suspect we would have to join based on new member terms as opposed to our previous ones. Politically arguing a case for it based on adopting the euro, Schengen, lack of rebate and veto rights would not be easy as we may think

@_BasedJames_ @RupertLowe10 Asylum claimants aren’t legally allowed to work so can’t contribute economically. 80% of asylum costs are funded via domestic aid budget resulting in c.£1B being spent annually from domestic budgets. Therefore a £1B saving would result in little to no tax cut. Hope it helped.
