Is there any group of Americans who hate others’ personal freedoms more than republicans? They always want a government so big that it reaches into our private lives, our bedrooms and women’s wombs. They always create the BIGGEST of governments that intrude into people’s lives.

@newsjunkie0214 A rules package has to be written & passed by the Rules Committee before it can be voted on by the House. It's a Standing Committee that was established on April 2 1789 but the members have to be appointed and a Chairman named before that can be done.

This is probably not true. Rules have to be passed by the Rules Committee, then passed by the entire House. McCarthy made promises but can't unilaterally establish them. 1st order of business on Monday will be assigning people to the various committees.

@mgm8784 A lot of my DVDs are old movies that would be hard to find now. I also have about 15 old tv shows (every episode). Granted the picture quality doesn't compare with current shows but they're old favorites so it's fine.

It’s incredibly sad that a guy like George Santos could snag a seat in Congress and that Republicans would be fine with that, but even sadder knowing that he’s not even the worst of what they’re willing to accept in that position. There is no bottom.

@FrankMikeDavis1 My fear is not that they'll pass bad legislation but that they'll refuse to pass needed legislation (aid to Ukraine, govt funding, raising the debt ceiling, etc.)

After I was called a liar and worse for saying MTG said Kevin McCarthy gave her the power to fire 87,000 IRS agents. I posted the video a number of times. In McCarthy's speech after he was elected Speaker he said he plans to get rid of 87,000 IRS employees . Exactly what I said
