VATICAN: Dr. Luigi Carbone and Prof. Stefano Margaritora communicate the following regarding the Pope's postoperative course: “Today, the final histological examinations and the molecular biology investigations on the material removed during the surgical intervention on the Holy Father have been reported. The results have confirmed that it was a pulmonary adenocarcinoma and that the disease was localized. A subsequent oncological evaluation has confirmed that no further therapy is necessary.”
