Our latest work in generating curved 2D sheets using the macrocycle side chain crowding effect. Now you don't need a curved molecule to create a curve sheet. Just wrinkle it. @J_A_C_S https://t.co/dpcpehoibB
For years, the origin of homochirality (why life uses D-sugars & L-amino acids) has baffled scientists. Our new paper in @AngewChem reveals how achiral molecules can form the chiral polymers that likely seeded life!
A game-changer for abiogenesis research!

#30 Angewandte Chemie!
In this paper, we show that a peptide polymer can be made, via TAAC polymerisation, in two different polymorphic forms; one with beta-sheet-like packing and the other one with helical packing.

Here is our latest paper. Here, we made a bioinspired polymer taking cue from collagen sequence. This polymer can glue hydrophilic surfaces.
Like in 2023, we published 10 papers in 2024 too!

Unclicking the Click: A Depolymerizable Clicked Polymer via Two Consecutive Single-Crystal-to-Single-Crystal Reactions (Kana M. Sureshan and co-workers) @SureshanLab; @tvmiiser https://t.co/UZxTRAH3qc
The School of Chemistry @tvmiiser initiated an annual symposium series, “Frontiers Symposium in Chemistry (FS-CHM)” in 2020. After completing 4 successful editions, the 5th Symposium, FS-CHM 2025, is being conducted from the 31st Jan to the 2nd Feb 2025. https://t.co/ug0WGAzEys
Our latest paper! In this paper, we report a light induced strengthening of an organogel. A monomer gel upon irradiation undergoes topochemical polymerisation to a semiconducting polymer which makes a stronger gel than the monomer gel. https://t.co/mxrjlWl9kd
@Ella_Maru Thanks Ella! Indeed, the crystallinity of the polymer stabilizes the oxa-bicyclic linkages. The stability arises due to the numerous short contacts in the polymer crystal after the SCSC transformation.
In this work, we synthesized a crystalline syndiotactic polymer by using a Diels-Alder reaction, for the first time, for topochemical polymerization. Thanks to @SureshanLab for the guidance and support.
Here is our latest paper in JACS. We have exploited the Diels-Alder reaction, in the solid state, for the topochemical synthesis of a syndiotactic polymer. This is the first use of Diels-Alder reaction for the topochemical polymerization. https://t.co/OeRvxD83Ui
