Originally, Rover collapsing wasn't part of the script. However, the team later decided to add it to create a sense that even the "Savior" could be powerless in certain situations, which ultimately led to that memorable scene. They also used different animation styles (2D & Motion comics) throughout the story to better convey specific emotions that impact of the storytelling

They actually adjust and rebalance character models for certain cutscene angles. For example, if a close-up shot makes a character look not too chubby or different from their intended appearance, they'll tweak the model to ensure it stays consistent with the original design
