With support from @SharedInterest we have upgraded our Bees for business (diversification project for our coffee farmers) and we are now on market beginning with kasese areas and bwera.
Kindly support the local farmers by buying our honey 🍯
Any time, any day pass by with your samples and we do the needful, much more better if you can and we compare notes to enhance our skillz. In kinyamaseke Town Council is where we hail from on the foot steps of Rwenzori. Our slogan is "we care for our coffee family"
Succession is vital in any institution, we had a training on good leadership skills and succession planning at our offices. This was supported by @FAIRTRADE specifically @FairtradeECAN through the Uganda office. We are grateful for such impactful sessions to our BOD & Staff.
With support from @RootCapital we are constructing water harvesting tanks in buswagha village and this was also affected by the recent floods in the Rwenzori Region. This will help our farmers on domestic use and also on the wet processing of Coffees.
In partnership with @RootCapital, we reached out to our farmers on the Rwenzori's who were hit by the recent floods. We gave them aid in terms of house hold utensils and food items, We believe that this will strengthen our relationship with them as they deliver quality coffees.
After travelling throughout the weekend, Shared Interest Foundation Development Officer, Harriet, and Foundation Manager, Kodzo, spent the beginning of this week with Bukonzo, a coffee co-operative located at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda.
Celebrating the Women Producers of the World this International Women's Day 👩🌾
Throughout the regions in which we work, from Rwanda to Nicaragua, there are many powerful examples of women leading the way in agricultural and artisanal sectors which have long been dominated by men.
That is why we believe that gender equality has a vital part to play in strengthening communities and promoting economic growth . In fact, the @FAO (UN Food and Agriculture Organisation) estimates that closing the gender gap in agriculture would reduce the number of undernourished people by up to 150 million.
So, in celebration of #InternationalWomensDay on March 8th, 2024, we want to shine the spotlight on the inspiring female figures who are reshaping their narrative and paving the way for a new generation of women leaders in their industry.
Their stories resonate within their organisations and throughout their communities. Watch our video or read our blog to learn more 📲
