@AgroNationalism Do you think we could just ban first generation biofuels? Which is to say that any crop which could be used for food cannot be used for fuel? Second generation biofuels don’t seem to ve as harmful because they mostly rely on waste products.
@bulgarbrutalit2 Personally, I like the fact that he at least called for Africans to pursue self-sufficiency over foreign aid. How much he did that in practice I don’t know and don’t really care.
@AuronMacintyre I do not fully disagree with this. But that is because I believe that property taxes should be replaced with Land Value Taxes, which are effectively just property taxes on land with no regard to improvements or buildings on the land.
“We have to primary Thomas Massie because he was soft on immigration and went against Trump’s agenda!”
Meanwhile Trump holds a rally for a guy trying to pass an amnesty package, and there is nothing but crickets from the complissident right
Letlow supports DEI, increased H-2B visas, and has a terrible ranking from NumbersUSA. If you want a real upgrade over Cassidy then vote @FlemingforLA !
@BlakeKresses Well Brian Fitzpatrick of PA had a similar voting record to Massie on the OBBBA and border security. And yet nothing from Trump. However, he hasn’t said anything about Israel or the Epstein Files.
Trump’s H-1B approval rate for his second term is higher than his first term and Obama’s, tying Biden’s during his first year.
At the current rate of approvals and pace of applications, Trump could end up approving more H-1B visa applications than in his first term and maybe more than Biden.
Trump’s restrictions on H-1B visas, notably the $100k new application fee, only went into effect in late September of 2025.
The fee doesn’t apply to any visa holder already in the US, and the visa still allows for dependents to be sponsored and migrate with them.
A student visa holder can hypothetically transition to H-1B status without the fee and then sponsor main dependents.
As a note, Trump has reduced the number of approved student visas and other visas broadly, with reviews of visa applications. Notably, visas from the 39 banned countries are subject to extra scrutiny.

@GeorgiaPapist I think I’d rather have Trump start WW3 than spend a single second under a Kamala administration. Things aren’t good but they could be a hell of a lot worse.
One consequence of our geographic polarization is that Democrats have to draw giant bacon strips to gerrymander, while Republicans have to pretty much just draw circles and rectangles.
