What’s more, the RESOLFT-enabling illuminations are more or less a direct add-on to a “standard” Snouty/OPM! Hoping more Snouty enthusiasts want to try it!
The long-lasting states of RSFPs combined with Snouty-OPM opens up vast possibilities to play with new illumination and imprinting schemes. We create arrays of super thin on-state sheets. Excited to see what else can be done!🔬 @dirk_ollech@IlariaTesta4@amsikking@AndrewGYork
Out last week from @IlariaTesta4 and colleagues! A really smart way to do fast, volumetric RESOLFT with (OPM) light sheet microscopes. https://t.co/xvwX0tnRXS
By imprinting the off-pattern in the whole volume, we only need to cycle the proteins 10-20 times per volumetric recording. This allows for low illumination dose leading to great time-lapse capabilities!
RESOLFT was never faster! Happy to share the OPM with @snouty and @rsfp to craft several thin sheets of light at the same time and read them out really fast! Congrats to @Bodeeen1@dirk_ollech and the snouty family @AndrewGYork and @amsikking

Don’t you have enough red FPs? Shift to the near infrared then with the new emiRFP https://t.co/8qriQGN9A6 they can be STED, images by @jonatanalvelid in our lab! 👏
