Anthropic shipped Claude Fable 5 today and we already have it on Bodega One Code.
First public "Mythos-class" model, a tier above Opus. It rewrote a 50M-line codebase in a day.
Cloud-only. $50/M output, 2x Opus 4.8.
Worth it on the hard stuff. Local for the rest.

Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use.
Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.
@co11ateral@three_cube@_aircorridor@DI0256 We built https://t.co/CAtrcrYma2 can 1 click download ollama, llama.cpp, it props your hardware and recommends the best models to fit on your machine, everything is air-gappable with optional cloud.
@TheKryptoWiz You are absolutely correct. Every agent loop should have the proper safety nets in place in which a user should be able to fully customize to their personal long form workflows.
Agent loops in 2026: capability isn't the problem, the bill is.
One LangChain agent: 14,000 redundant tool calls, $437.
One Claude Code user: $6,000 burned overnight on a single command.
The bottleneck isn't model capability. It's whether you capped iterations.
@sflorimm On https://t.co/CAtrcrYma2 you can combine claude models with local coding models and optimize your spending and rely on local models completely free.
