We wonder if you can acknowledge that the hustle for the "perfect body" is holding you back from doing things you could really do now. And how the hustle has reinforced a sense of failure, self-loathing, and distrust in yourself, which has impacted how you engage with the world.
Tomorrow the new paperback cover of 'Reclaiming Body Trust' will be out in the world!
This book is an invitation to return to a relationship with your body and yourself that you want to be in for your lifetime—flexible, compassionate, and connected. ✨ https://t.co/VvNhLVm8Cl

Those in each cohort are often engaged in their own healing process, which means that our participants show up as human, with little professional masking and a sincere commitment to making their communities safer for all bodies. If this calls you we think you should join us!
The standards of beauty, while they have evolved and changed over time, have always been set by people in power.
How many people, experiences, ideas, and creations have you bypassed due to this indoctrination?
What have we missed out on in the process?

💚 this body is my home 💚
ID: a beautiful fat nude person w/ red hair & pink hearts all over their skin, wrapping their arms around themselves in loving care. Vines surround them & purple text overlaid on their body reads: This body is loved.
RP EncouragingDietitian: "more helpful labels are: delicious, tasty, something I enjoy, something I don’t enjoy, more helpful, less helpful, etc
moral language doesn’t belong w/ food. food can’t behave. it can’t independently do something bad. food makes no choices. food is food."

"this turning toward would not be possible without *collective practice*
...without experimentation and failures and a deep commitment to trying one more time, and one more after that"

"...it’s eating w/ judgment. Yes, there are times I will eat more than usual. For example: the food tastes amazing or it’s a holiday or I’m extra hungry. But if I negatively judge my eating, I’m likely to try to respond to that judgement w/ restriction."

"Our girls, are simply trying to sell you cookies. They shouldn’t worry about the calories of the cookies, the diet the person they’re selling to is on, or the body flaw that’s causing a person not to purchase. Diet and body shame is learned."
Understanding how we lose trust in our bodies helps us locate the problem outside of our bodies, clearing the way for new personal narratives to emerge.
We deserve agency over the telling of our truth. We are the only ones who can truly write our story. #BodyTrustTuesday

"I’m concerned that we’re pretending everything is business as usual. I’m concerned that we can’t see a reflection of our humanity in them. I’m concerned that it doesn’t matter where this takes place, as long as it’s not you."
Bodies are not supposed to fit into the narrow range stated in the BMI chart, and they are not meant to stay the same as we age. We should not be expected to weigh in our seventies what we weighed in our twenties.
Bodies—and health—are always in flux. #BodyTrustTuesday
