@swiftsambi The purpose of the Virtual safety car is to neutralize the race, but so often drivers hold out for the ADVANTAGE they always get by pitting during one! Solution: lower pit lane speed limit under VSC to balance the clear advantage!? Surely this should be considered by the FIA?
@RayyLH44 So in the GAME, after playing through the whole season, you’re bang equal on points. You settle down for the last race, all looking good, controlling the race, sure to win, then, safety-car, BUGGY GLITCH, back runners disappear and new tires appear on car behind… you loose!
@F1_Jordan One thing is for sure… If Lewis, professionally fouled Max, by taking him out so catastrophically, whilst sustaining so little damage to his own car to be able to still win the race with a ten second penalty, then Lewis is an even greater genius than I already believe him to be!
@F1_SLO@Scott2k44 The human spirit can be elevated or crushed by the speaking or writing of a few simple words. Words of praise will lift someone’s spirit, give them a boost and make them feel good about life! Simple words, easy and cheap to provide. Privately x 1, and Publicly x 10.
@rampage1875@benjaminhopton@JensonButton Your ‘facts’ are concerning. In 2010 Lewis outscored JB and suffered 3 DNFs to Jenson’s 2. In 2011 JB outscored LH and had 2 DNFs to Lewis’s 3. And in 2012 Lewis outscored JB despite suffering FIVE DNFs to JB’s 2 throughout the season. Your term ‘bettered’ must be subjective.
@SheffNW_NPT I think this SHOUlD act as a warning to us drivers… not because we might aim to drive dangerously, but because cyclists coming towards us on OTHER side of road, ALSO need to be considered carefully when approaching, here there were a few things that brought them very close!
@SheffNW_NPT Here is how narrow the driver’s side of the road is just past the incident…. This explains the position on road. No wonder the driver was crossing the line, else they would have been in the bushes at this point.
@SheffNW_NPT The car takes 5 frames to clear a single white line and the cyclist takes 17. If cyclist was doing 10mph the car was 34 mph. If 9mph the car 30.6mph. Not saying car couldn’t have slowed a bit, but, this doesn’t look that bad. The cyclists did move significantly towards car.
@SheffNW_NPT In fairness to the driver, just after the incident happened you can clearly see the road is significantly narrowed on their side. It doesn’t look like there is sufficient room to even remain on their side of the road. No idea what speed was, but, close proximity exaggerates!
@ITVNewsPolitics@AngelaRayner@BorisJohnson Slightly annoyed by the prominence of this. We’ve been in a catastrophic pandemic, PMs team working round the clock, team were being tested regularly and working together all the time. Not a ‘get your friends around’ party at all! Please find some important news to report.
@itvnews I have no comment on this particular case, but, how can an otherwise unknown woman from America living In Australia legally challenge a UK Royal, whilst in the case of Harry Dunn, an American diplomat, can KILL a UK young man, in the UK, flee the country and then be untouchable?
@zachariouch96@GeorgeRussell63 Max is a great driver, I would not dispute, but that race on Sunday! Second position with a huge gap, always has the options to risk, fair enough they ‘gambled’ and got some free pit stops, but, that was luck enough, clearing the back runners before restart was too great a gift!
@zachariouch96@GeorgeRussell63 The last lap, Hamilton with 35 lap old tires and being the naturally slower hards, had to defend against Max, who had TWICE managed to luck into fresh tires, ending up with brand new Softs, the fastest tyre! I think he put up a great defense considering!
@zachariouch96@GeorgeRussell63 If you can drive like ‘it doesn’t matter if you crash’, then you are more formidable on the track, more unpredictable, dangerous, and daring! That’s what Lewis had to deal with, and still he dispensed him with reasonable haste!
@OAKmotorsport@SirLewisUpdates When Lewis does that move, he’s in control, he just doesn’t barge his way into the mix and hope he comes out ok! Max drives like me, when I play F1 on the PlayStation. Fast as you can into the corner, bounce off the others, and hopefully you’ll come out in front!
@casper_smit @ianstewart87 @TimStr10@SirLewisUpdates Lewis’s pass in Silverstone was eminently possible if Max hadn’t, once again, turned his steering wheel in to take a corner that already had someone on the inside, to try to get to the apex! Without regard for safety, should have and could have taken it wider! :-)
@bradslater89 @Rev0n1 @Salad44695650@BURN447_@SpannersReady I’m so glad the stewards have the knowledge and the objectivity to call the incident for what it was. We’ve witnessed loads of ‘letting you pass maneuvers’, by other lesser drivers and none were ever as catastrophically awkward as that! Shocking, and shameful.
@RogersonSteve@takanayev@SpannersReady 2.4 g of deceleration in braking with Lewis right behind him? Yer, yer, he was ‘trying’ to let him pass. Without knowledge of his intent, and Lewis didn’t have this, Max’s actions would appear very strange.
