@Nerdcognito Given the level of skills Batman somehow mastered in 20ish years, along with the toughness, strength and healing to engage in the fights he does, he really has some low level power in being able to do that to make a career of it.
@woofknight I mean...he wished to be a real prince. Presumably there was an entire kingdom and people and history created to accommodate the wish that they forgot about.
@ryoto_dawn1@hyperlyme Which was false...but they did move their secret Hercules secret military forces into the capitol to engage in espionage and end up in actual combat with students. The gun Ash uses is taken off those guys.
@R_thors@Mikkel_Dane4K I would argue that with Crossbell, between what they did to the Erebonian fortress, and the people hurt and killed when Red Constellation attacked the city, there were actual stakes for people involved. CS worked really hard to even make the civil war near harmless.
@R_thors@Mikkel_Dane4K A bunch of Crow's goons do. I mean, this is CS4. At this point he did too though they decided to walk that back. Daybreak was a bright shining light things could be different...at least the first game was.
@uiulex Yeah in the scene he can't dodge it because Agnes is behind him, but you can tank a shoulder hit. Now yes technically from a purely game mechanics it doesn't do anything but story wise hundreds of thousands of lives depend on them. So I took her out.
@hyperlyme Oddly enough the scene entirely failed for me to care about because I was so expecting them to save her on top of the usual super senses entirely failing. Even after she died I was left just wondering how they would bring her back later.
@uiulex He is increadibly dumb. His entire motivating moment was he refused to kill innocents and the suffering. So he joins up and works for the guy who 'checks notes' kills innocent civilians.
@hyperlyme Its insane that we get nothing about whats going on here. That said I don't think they could write it in a way that makes sense given everything so they just keep it all off screen aside from little bits like this.
@kasu35882221888 Simeon seems to think McBurn is stronger than he is. The omniscient eye gives Yun an unpredictable advantage but Aurelia mastered two styles which are presented equivalent to what Rean does. Mcburn, Aurelia, Simeon, Yun?
@kingslayer253 This was one of the moments that made Daybreak 1 good. They actually committed to the idea that this was a world people could be hurt or die in. That villains were actual threats and needed to be stopped. If this was Reverie, the place would be empty.
