AI replaced my code. Fine. I made peace with that.
Then it started writing my documentation. OK, fair, that was kind of boring anyway.
Then it wrote my tests better than I ever did. That one stung a little.
Last week, it generated a LinkedIn post about product engineering that sounded more like me than I do. My wife read it and said, "This is good, did you actually write this one?"
At this rate, by June, it'll be hosting my podcast. My guests won't notice. My audience might actually prefer it. It'll ask better follow-up questions and never panic for not knowing what to ask next.
The only thing keeping me sane is that AI still can't figure out what to think. So I'm mass-producing opinions while I still can.
Nothing humbles you like telling your OpenClaw “confirm before acting” and watching it speedrun deleting your inbox. I couldn’t stop it from my phone. I had to RUN to my Mac mini like I was defusing a bomb.
Software engineers are highly-paid farmers, tending their crops by hand.
We just invented the combine harvester.
The world is going have a lot more food and a lot fewer farmers in very short order.
I asked chatgpt's new image model to script and generate a series of comics starring itself as the main character. The results genuinely gave me chills.
I'll post them all in a thread below.
"A calculator app? Anyone could make that."
Not true.
A calculator should show you the result of the mathematical expression you entered. That's much, much harder than it sounds.
What I'm about to tell you is the greatest calculator app development story ever told.
Just learnt that WhatsApp has not 10, not 20, but... 150 designers.
All working tirelessly to make sure the app looks exactly the same as it did in 2014.

Without VAR, Everton would've had six goals and a clean sheet in the PL for the first time since May 1999...

@RestIsPolitics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret Did Rishi Sunak get it all wrong calling the election so early?
Would a UK election now have meant Farage focussed on staying in the USA and Reform without a loud voice! Would the UK election strategy have been reshaped by Trumps election?
