During her residency, Melisa Tien (BF '23) worked on an opera about Chinese American architect I.M. Pei and the challenges he faced in constructing the glass-and-steel pyramid that was added to the Musée du Louvre during its renovation in the 1980s.
While at the Study Center, William Thomas McKinley Bogliasco Fellow Matthew Ricketts (BF '23) developed a new piece for countertenor, oboe, and string orchestra setting to music an ekphrastic poem of Mark Wunderlich.
