Let's Dive In...โ๐ผ
For 18 years, I believed my father abandoned me.
My mother spent my entire life telling me he disappeared the moment he found out she was pregnant. I hated him for it. Growing up without a father wasn't easy, but I learned to accept it because I thought he had chosen to leave.
Then, on my 18th birthday, everything changed.
That morning, I got a call from an unknown number. The man on the other end was emotional, almost in tears.
"Happy Birthday, son. I've been looking for you for 18 years."
I thought it was a prank.
Then he sent photos from the day I was born.
There was a man holding a newborn baby wrapped in a tiny blue blanket. There was also a woman lying in a hospital bed holding that same baby.
Neither of them were strangers.
The man looked exactly like me.
And the woman wasn't the person who raised me.
My heart sank as he told me the truth.
The woman I called "Mom" had been obsessed with him for years. When she discovered he was married and expecting a child, she snapped. Shortly after I was born, she kidnapped me and vanished.
My real parents spent nearly two decades searching for me.
Suddenly, everything made senseโthe way she constantly compared me to my father, the strange attachment she had to me, and why she treasured the little blue blanket from the day I was born as if it were her greatest possession.
Moments later, she walked into my room with a smile on her face.
"You ready for our special day, sweetheart?"
I looked at her, now seeing a complete stranger.
Only minutes earlier, I had learned a terrifying truth:
The woman who raised me wasn't my mother.
She stole me.

โThis crash lead to the discovery of a 4cm mass in his left temporal region of my sonโs brain. Go pro video of the crash at Turkey Mountain. Talk about a blessing in disguise. If it wasn't for the crash, we wouldn't have any reason to take him to get a CT.Luckily no broken bones, internal bleeding or permanent damage outside of a few cuts bruises and scrapes. Every time I watch it, I wish I would've just reached back and grabbed him, but I was so was focused on River who fell right as the video started. What's crazy is this was labeled as a kids path..
He was pretty excited after he found out. I got it on video and now he just wants to go viral.โ

A Cure for Wellness is one of those films where every answer creates two new questions.
Definitely worth watching if youโre into slow-burn psychological thrillers.
