@andrewdsacher yeah def not just in your head! i can see what you mean. they pretty consistently display a lot of tenderness even in their louder records such that quieter/prettier songs never feel too out of character for them (great pick btw completely overlooked that one)
@goldensflowers it's funny they're saying "we're not offended the jokes are just old now" like americans haven't been the pioneers of only having the same two jokes about other countries for decades
Great song, cool guitar riffs, really nice piano chord progression in the verses, he’s yelping all the time, he threatens Marilyn Manson at one point, I agree with the sentiment that you shouldn’t give up due to the context that you have the music in you, what’s not to love
@PimentoQiz@MilhousesTeeth this is the mindset! Similar to how seeing tourists in your city can let you reappreciate beauty you grew accustomed to. We should celebrate young people being excited about music, even if they do so in a way that seems to us lacking in perspective!
@Mazalthan@bugheaven_ pensacola has such an incredibly unique atmosphere. The chorus strikes a balance between somehow sounding triumphant, while not ever relieving you of the unsettling feeling the song has. No other song sounds like it
@Halalcoholism I think Hobbes is pretty good at communicating in an effective and evidence-based manner. To me it feels like Nate is trying to coin a new alternative for Woke that he can use to vaguely describe every progressive he finds annoying. Asking for a clarification is fair imo!
@omar__swag@lemonofpink if you use an android you can install yt revanced, which has options to hide shorts content in your feed!
that being said, i completely agree on it being evil i genuinely hate how susceptible i am to it
@lemonofpink Yeah you can mark suspects by pressing the right corner. You get three colors, but i mostly use it to mark that exactly one of two suspects is a criminal, so its easier to count innocent/criminal neighbours
