So they can vote no on a merger of equals… don’t take anything less than 70% of the total combined entity for your $TSLA shares when it comes time to form a new one with $SPCX
NEWS: State Street bought 2.76 million more Tesla shares last quarter, worth about $1.16 billion.
State Street is the third-largest institutional investor in Tesla.
The buy pushed its total stake to 117.5 million shares, now valued at about $49.4 billion.
A position that big getting even bigger is a strong signal of faith in Tesla.

Doesn’t matter if you were or weren’t an early SpaceX investor. What does matter is that you are acting as if a merger of equals should be what $TSLA shareholders accept.
When in fact for $TSLA investors it would be shooting themselves in the foot. 75% of the total combined entity or 25% for $SPCX would be more than fair. A merger of equals would only be a good thing for SpaceX bag holders and SpaceX early investors, a new entity would give Elon the voting rights he wants, 40%+ and would be fair for both parties.
You’re right that there may never be a better regulatory window than right now.
You’re wrong on a merger of equals.
SpaceX’s core mission is making life multiplanetary. That is an extraordinary goal. It is also a multi-decade capital sink with extremely long and uncertain payback periods. Even with Starlink, launch, and orbital compute layered on top, Tesla shareholders would be diluting themselves to underwrite Mars on equal terms. That is a terrible deal for $TSLA holders.
Tesla is the real-world AI company. Robotaxi changes the economics of transportation globally with high utilization, software-like margins, and recurring revenue at massive scale. That business alone can support multiple trillions in market cap. Optimus is bigger still. Labor is the largest cost center on Earth. Solving embodied AI at scale makes Optimus the most valuable product in history, with or without SpaceX’s AI stack.
SpaceX needs Optimus far more than Tesla needs SpaceX for its core trajectory. Moon bases, Mars settlements, orbital data center construction and maintenance all run through humanoid robots at volume. The dependency is asymmetric.
Elon secured 85% of the voting rights in $SPCX for a reason. He knows Tesla shareholders will not accept anything less than 70-75% of the total combined entity. If they combine into a new entity, Tesla shareholders would have no problem giving him 40%+ voting control. The economics have to reflect the relative value of the AI opportunity Tesla already owns.
Synergies and capital intensity arguments are real. A structured combination that properly values Tesla’s AI and robotics trajectory can make sense. Treating the two as equals does not. Tesla shareholders would be foolish to fund the multiplanetary mission at 50/50 when the AI opportunity sitting in front of Tesla is this large.
@ai_sly@TeslaBoomerMama Yes… real synergies between them, but I’m asking specifically about why a merger of equals is what she is pushing when $TSLA shareholders have a clear upper hand and won’t vote for anything less than 70% of the total combined entity. Almost makes me question motives
@TeslaBoomerMama Not possible not matter how many models you make or how much you push a merger of equals, $TSLA shareholders won’t vote it through and that is the only thing that matters. Elon will get 40%+ voting rights in the ticker X and it will be worth it for him and TSLA will get 70% TCE
Why does a brand that uses one of our greatest states for advertising leverage sell out our great American farmers?
@FloridasNatural
The label admits it’s juice from Florida, Mexico & Brazil.
A former Wilmington port worker told me the same Brazilian concentrate comes through the Port of Wilmington for basically every major OJ brand. Didn’t believe them at first, had to check the bottle.
@Mr_Derivatives Yes been saying this for a while now, X will be the ticker… $TSLA shareholders will only vote yes for 70%+ of the total combined entity, so that is why Elon made sure he had 85% voting rights in $SPCX
Sick packaging and the metal card feels great in your hand, not cheaply made at all.
When is stock buying coming to @XMoney? Would love to transfer some $TSLA shares over. @elonmusk
