@goldentouch73@Micro2Macr0@fundstrat Fed has dual mandate - full employment, low inflation. Even if inflation is under control this fall, the Fed will not reduce the policy rate until there is material softness in the labor market. IMO that’s not likely to materialize until later next year.

@FrankCurzio How do you reconcile the US treasury buy backs capping long term interest rates with the Fed’s hawkish stance signaling potential upcoming rate hikes? How does that impact your thesis?
@Maarten_1984@KobeissiLetter That’s not how it works here. You need literal buyback transactions occurring over time to have a real influence on long term rates.
The same logic applies to quantitative easing/tightening. It takes time for these things materialize in the economy/markets
