A heartbreaking investigation revealed that Trump's Bureau of Land Management is systematically rounding up thousands of America's wild horses, then quietly selling them off to buyers who are shipping them to slaughterhouses abroad.

Before, the U.S. government rarely sold wild horses. But since Trump took office, government sales have more than doubled.

Slaughterhouses pay up to $750 a wild horse, the investigation found.

The Bureau of Land Management is nominally in charge of protecting the 73,000 or so wild horses who roam America's public lands in the West. Under Trump, the Bureau is sending our wild horses to the slaughterhouse.

TRUMP is DELIBERATELY DESTROYING THE U.S. CATTLE HERD

The only way to rebuild a cattle herd is for ranchers to hold back heifers (young females) for breeding instead of sending them to slaughter. When ranchers do this, supply tightens and feedlot prices go up.🚨

If you flood the market with cheap imported beef (even for 90 days), what happens to US ranchers? Live cattle futures drop (NCBA CEO "cattle markets have already turned sharply lower this morning"). 🚨

Ranchers who are holding out, trying to rebuild the herd, see prices drop. Their margins, already squeezed by drought and feed costs, collapse. What do ranchers do when prices drop and feed is expensive? They liquidate the herd. They sell their cattle to slaughterhouses at lower prices to stop the bleeding. If ranchers liquidate, the US cattle herd gets EVEN SMALLER

Who controls the slaughterhouses? The "packer monopoly" as Sen. Tim Sheehy called it. JBS (Brazilian), Tyson, Cargill, National Beef. If domestic herd liquidates, ranchers sell off their cattle to the big packers. The packers get cheap domestic cattle. They pair it with the cheap imported beef from their parent companies or alliances abroad (JBS is Brazilian, they basically control the Brazilian meat export market). JBS stands to make an absolute killing. They can source cheap beef tariff-free from Brazil through their own supply chain, blend it with domestic beef, and sell it at a marginal discount while pocketing the massive tariff waiver savings. 🚨

And if the domestic herd drops further, eventually the US will be structurally dependent on imported beef forever. The US will lose its food security. If you destroy the domestic cattle herd, you consolidate power over the US meat supply into the hands of a few multinational monopolies (JBS, Brazilian-owned; Cargill; etc.). These monopolies can then dictate prices indefinitely. Meanwhile, Trump gets a temporary 25% optics drop in grocery store ground beef for the 60 days leading up to the November election. He saves the GOP House/Senate.

Once the domestic herd is liquidated (cows are slaughtered, they are dead) , it takes 3 to 5 years to rebuild a herd (gestation + raising to maturity).

So this 90-day window permanently sets back US beef independence by years. This is a massive transfer of wealth from US taxpayers to the meat packing monopoly and foreign agricultural giants (specifically JBS/Brazil).

🚨 Joint Statement by the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt

The Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Arab Republic of Egypt unequivocally condemn Israel’s continued illegal settlement policies in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and categorically reject the “E1” settlement plan and related settlement activities east of occupied East Jerusalem. They further reiterate their condemnation of the violations and acts of violence perpetrated by settlers, with the support of the Israeli occupying authorities, against the Palestinian people and their property. They stress that such acts in no way diminish the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and constitute violations of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, while posing a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.

The Ministers warned that the “E1” settlement plan constitutes a dangerous escalation that further advances settlement expansion and annexation and undermines the geographical contiguity of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly between the West Bank and East Jerusalem, thereby threatening the viability and realization of an independent, contiguous Palestinian State based on the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital. Such actions constitute a direct challenge to international efforts aimed at achieving peace, foremost among them President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan, including its unequivocal rejection of annexation and forced displacement, and the mechanisms envisaged for its implementation, including through the Board of Peace, as well as President Trump’s firm commitment to not allow annexation of the West Bank, with a view to achieving stability and bringing the conflict to an end.

The Ministers reaffirm that the two- State solution, in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, remains the only viable path towards a just, comprehensive and lasting peace. They warn that actions aimed at undermining this solution risk further escalating tensions, threatening regional and international peace and security, and jeopardizing prospects for lasting peace and stability in the region.

In this context, the Ministers support all efforts aimed at ensuring accountability, including through appropriate international measures and sanctions against entities and individuals responsible for illegal settlement activities, including the “E1” settlement plan, as well as those supporting, facilitating or implementing policies of settlement expansion and annexation. They further call for an end to any support or financing that contributes to the establishment, expansion or entrenchment of illegal settlements. They stress that the lack of accountability contributes to the continuation of violations and further undermines prospects for a just and comprehensive peace.

The Ministers call for immediate action to halt the “E1” settlement plan, rescind all measures taken in connection with it, and cease all settlement activities and other measures aimed at altering the geographic and demographic character of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. They further call upon the United Nations Security Council, all States and relevant international actors to uphold their responsibilities under international law and take urgent and effective measures to halt illegal settlement expansion, and to ensure the protection of the Palestinian people, safeguard their inalienable rights, including their right to self- determination, and realize their independent State, in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

If Trump really wanted to lower beef prices he would support Massie’s PRIME Act which allows individual states to permit local custom slaughterhouses to sell individual cuts of meat directly to consumers, restaurants, and grocery stores within that same state. But instead the Big Four major meat processors in America control over 85% of the market and consequently the cost of processing meat is high. But with Massie’s PRIME Act, small processors would be allowed to compete and would drive down costs. It would also help smaller meat producers to sell their beef to local markets.

And we need Country of Origin labeling for foreign imported and foreign processed meats. Americans deserve to know where the meat they are buying to feed themselves and their families is coming from, and we have the right to reject it based on its country of origin.

Both of these I cosponsored and are Republican sponsored bills, why won’t the Republican controlled Congress pass these bills?

Why won’t the Republican elected President support these legislations which are America First?

The answer is the Big Four meat processors and their well paid lobbyists roam the halls of congress and get to go to meetings and fundraisers at the White House and YOU don’t!
