Cursor just became the bridge between where a company thinks and where its software gets built

The update looks simple: plugins for Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Calendar. Read, write and act, all without leaving the editor

But here's what actually changes

Until now the repo was the agent's only memory...

Now the flow can start from a doc, an email or a calendar event. Cursor pulls the authorized context, maps it to the repo, implements or proposes changes, validates, and pushes the work back into the business

You stop being the translation layer between Docs and GitHub

I used to say: make the repo remember for the agent. Now it's bigger. Make the organization hold the context the agent needs

One caveat: what's confirmed is the connection. The real workflows depend on the actions and permissions you grant each plugin

But the direction is obvious. Cursor stops being "the AI code editor" and becomes the layer where business decisions turn into shipped software
