It's funny that what I had hoped Midnight would be, some of Marvel's forlorn 70's horror characters that aren't purely in the superhero mold, is exactly what dc released this week
Idk man I feel the whole "let's allow killers to walk free and help people achieve their suicidal ideation" vibe the show has is confused with healing.
I found the conflict largely contrived and shallow. It's fleetingly thoughtful but not enough to paint a full picture.
Concept itself was great but the execution was dogshit. Her shooting hal after Hal saying he wants to protect Noah and her is definitely a choice. Not to mention she's not gonna face consequences for killing Hal
I just....don't understand why she shot him. It's just so unreasonable.
If he was talking crazy and threatening to kill Noah, I'd understand. He was just asking them to leave town for a bit with him and to keep them safe.
This whole thing is so dumb.
And mainly the Dolkey fight and the light novels cause
Dolkey fight may be the deciding factor this cour if this can truly be a good adaptation and could probably set a precedent for future fights if the animation is good
The second light novels provides closure so it’d be nice

Thank you all for coming out to see the ep.1 west coast premiere and ep.2 world premiere✨
It was the very first time Iwashiro-sensei made a public appearance and he was so happy to meet the US fans (including Amamiya cosplayer!)
KINGDOM (2019–2020) made zombies feel fresh again, dropping an outbreak into Joseon-era Korea where palace politics and survival collide. A crown prince chasing the truth while the dead rise at night. We deserved another season.
He can't say "no evil shall escape my sight" because he literally let evil get away with murder, helped cover it up, and put earth at risk by letting a manhunter live in this episode.
The presentation for this story is mind boggling. The attention to detail on Issho’s hands. Every single action is drawn, down to the moment to moment movement. It feels like like they wanted you to have the feel of actually watching some of it in motion
Ending on that kind of dry humor with the man doing the trick wrong and paying double by accident after Issho was presented as something incredibly imposing is such a good way to snap you back out of the story right as it’s ending. What an insanely good way to top it off.
