Mitigation Tip-
Propane tanks.
Clear plant materials from around propane tanks, which should be placed well away from your home. Replace wooden fencing around tanks with non-flammable fencing materials like chain link or stone or brick walls.

@BLMIdaho crews, along with @BoiseFire and other local agencies, worked hard during the initial attack on the #ValleyFire in Boise's backyard. Firefighters have made good progress so far, with 50% containment. Fighting fires close to our cities and communities takes teamwork 🔥
Attention all drone operators and the general public,
A drone has been spotted over the active Valley Fire. This is a serious violation of both BLM and FAA regulations. Flying drones over wildfires is illegal and extremely dangerous.
Thank you to our community for your continued support and to BLM for their tireless work.
An update from BLM about the Valley Fire at 10:00 am can be found here: https://t.co/m6t8xcjAnP
Boise Fire and BLM are continuing to strengthen and monitor containment lines for the Valley Fire today. Boise residents in the areas marked on the map are still encouraged to be aware of fire activity and be “ready” for additional updates.
