Communities for Youth interns will facilitate small groups, conduct focus groups, collect data on youth mental health, and assist in initiative events in various communities across Idaho.

Josh Young, a B.S. Health Studies and MPH alum, has put his degrees to good use as a program specialist and emergency room technician. Young will soon be attending University of Washington to attain his Master of Clinical Health Services.

Cayenne has accepted a job with the Department of Health and Welfare! She looks forward to giving back to the community that helped to get her to where she is today!

SPPH Associate Professor Ellen Schafer recently received the Graduate College Excellence in Graduate Faculty Mentoring award. 

“I had fantastic mentors that shared their wisdom and taught me patience and empathy. I hope I am able to do the same for our students,” Schafer says.
