The 2025 Idaho Public Policy Survey results are live! This survey, conducted by Boise State's Idaho Policy Institute each year, measures Idahoans’ attitudes on a number of relevant topics.
Among this year’s questions are “Do you think things in Idaho are generally headed in the right direction, or do you feel that things are off on the wrong track?”, “How would you rate the quality of education in Idaho’s K-12 public schools?” and “Does the cost of your housing place a financial strain on you and your family today?”

Boise State University’s Idaho Policy Institute (IPI) was selected as the evaluator of a $6.6 million grant from the United States Treasury’s Social Impact Partnerships to Pay for Results Act (SIPPRA) program, which will result in a $1 million award for the university. The grant was awarded to @CityOfBoise and will be used to bolster access to housing in the Boise community, through the building of 143 new housing units for citizens overcoming housing instability. The project is called the Permanent Supportive Housing Pipeline, and the evaluation marks the largest sponsored project award in IPI’s history.
“This project is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing one of our region’s most critical challenges,” said Vanessa Fry, director of the Idaho Policy Institute and lead investigator for the evaluation. “We are proud to partner with the City of Boise and other stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights and help create sustainable solutions for housing insecurity in our community.”

Jaxon, a Boise State student majoring in Political Science and Communication, recently published an article for Boise State Public Radio through her experience as an intern there this semester.
Her article highlighted the West Boise YMCA's offering of after-hours swim lessons for Muslim refugee women.
Jaxon shared, "This past semester as a Newsroom Intern has been incredibly fulfilling. It has been a great opportunity to put the skills I have learned in my classes to practical use. I am passionate about telling stories, and BSPR has allowed me to create pieces that highlight important things happening in our community."
