Happy family father, great Job, stealing time for my modelling passion from sleep. Mainly 1/72 and 1/35. Striving for the unique thing.

It has been fun to apply a 'modern' camo scheme to such an old kit like Renwal's Skysweeper π Dull Olive Drab would have been the historically correct choice of course but this seemed boring. I'm actually quite pleased with the over all look of it now. π
70 years old Skysweeper kit built mostly out of the box. The scale is around 1/33. As much as the 88 mm Flak has been Tamyia's signature kit for decades this impressive piece could have been a landmark in early American kit production but too bad it's hardly seen anywhere.

@H2Odog Cheers mate, I'm so glad you like it! π» Building it has been an unusual experience indeed. The engineering and fit quality never cease to surprise you.

Basic construction is finished, except from some cables and the hand rails I'll add before priming. Over all good fit, decent detail, but heavy thick plastic. Remember this kit was first released in 1955 but does indeed honor to the real thing and is quite fun to assemble. π

Building the old Renwal Skysweeper kit: as said before this is an OOTB project. But the missing automatic ammo loader cage is so defining that I was forced to reconstruct it from scratch. π

@H2Odog Cheers mate, I can fully understand this. By today's standards it's an easy built with relatively few and big chunky parts but engineering is quite complex with several moving mechanisms. π»
Actually I'm surprised by the swift construction progress and the over all good fit part. Only a few corrections necessary with Evergreen plastic strips and rods.

Building the Renwal Skysweeper kit from 1955: Actually I want this to be a out of the box built but the muzzle brake is so horrible I simply have to do it myself. There are no pics showing the Skysweeper with a muzzle brake so I'm inventing one in the Gepard/Oerlikon style.
