Of all the women whose lives have been shattered by hate and violence, Sajida stands out as a symbol of unimaginable strength.

She lost her husband, Juned, to a brutal lynching. The pain of losing a life partner is devastating in itself, but Sajida had to endure the horror of knowing that her loving husband was burnt alive, and that his body was returned to the family only as ashes. As she was still trying to gather the broken pieces of her life, tragedy struck again. A year later, her 14-year-old daughter Parvana passed away, unable to bear the trauma of her father’s killing.

Life tested Sajida in the cruelest ways, but she refused to surrender.

At @miles2smile_ , we stood with her in her darkest hour and helped her start a small shop so she could rebuild her life with dignity. Today, Sajida runs the only women-led shop in her entire village — a quiet but powerful statement of resilience.

Two of her children are also studying in a good boarding school nearby under the Shaagird program, giving them a chance at a future their mother fought so hard to secure.

Yesterday, when I visited her shop, it was bustling with customers. With a gentle smile on her face, Sajida said, “Alhamdulillah, sab accha chal raha hai."

In that simple sentence was the story of a woman who faced unimaginable loss, yet chose courage over despair — and slowly, with faith and determination, rebuilt her life.

Reshma Bano (48) was a widow who ran a tiny grocery stall just to keep her visually impaired son Shadab (18) alive.

Her neighbour, Kishan Rawat, owed her ₹160... a debt she kept asking him to repay. She never imagined that asking for her own money back would get her and her son killed.

Rawat allegedly got drunk, entered her home under the pretext of returning the money, raped and strangled Reshma... then hunted down her blind 18 y/o son who tried to save his mother, strangling him and drowning him in a water tank, placing another tank over the body to hide it.

Police tracked Rawat down days later. He opened fire, injuring a constable. Officers shot him in the leg and arrested him. A rape charge was later added based on the postmortem report.

It was a deeply disheartening moment while returning from #Palla village in Nuh district, Haryana.

Aamir, just 28 years old, was chased and shot dead by Bajrang Dal extremists on allegations of cow trade. When we reached his home, the cries of his mother, father and family members were unbearable. No words can truly describe the grief inside that house.

We also visited the petrol pump where Aamir had filled fuel in his pickup shortly before the incident. The video footage clearly shows that the vehicle was empty. There were no cows inside, contrary to the accusations that were made.

It leaves everyone with a heavy heart. The law seems to be fading away when Muslims can be killed in broad daylight like this, and justice feels so distant. Muslims are being targeted again and again, and families are left to mourn while the system remains silent.

It has been 3–4 days since the heartbreaking and tragic loss of 12-year-old Unaiz Khan, a young boy full of life who was taken from his family far too soon.

His parents and loved ones are living through unimaginable pain, and the entire community shares their grief. We are all praying for truth and fairness so that Unaiz’s soul can rest in peace and his family can find some measure of closure.

In the spirit of transparency and to help restore public trust, I humbly request the @Uppolice to kindly address the following questions at the earliest.

1. How did the children come into possession of the gun? Was a loaded firearm left accessible and unsupervised? Has the licensed owner of the gun been formally arrested, and if so, what is the current status?

2. Has the post-mortem report been made public or at least shared with the family? The accidental-firing theory appears to rest heavily on this report, and clarity here would help everyone understand the medical facts.

(An observation many have noted after seeing images of the wound: a shot precisely in the centre of the forehead raises genuine questions about how an accidental discharge could have occurred in that exact manner.)

3. Where exactly was the birthday party held? We still do not have confirmed details of the precise location where Unaiz was shot. Was it inside the host child’s home, or somewhere else? We only know he was later taken to the hospital.

4. How exactly did the gunshot happen? If it was accidental, what caused the gun to fire suddenly? Was anyone aiming or pointing it? What does the trajectory of the bullet and forensic evidence indicate?

5. How was Unaiz transported to the hospital, and who took him there? Were any immediate first-aid steps taken at the scene?

6. Which child is reported to have fired the gun, and what do their statements reveal?

7. Unaiz’s father has spoken about prior animosity or tensions. Has this angle been thoroughly investigated, and what evidence has come to light?

8. When will the post-mortem report be released or at least provided to the family in writing?

9. Have the statements of all the other children present been recorded in detail, and have forensic experts examined the scene for fingerprints, gunshot residue, or other physical evidence?

10. Was any CCTV footage available at the venue or nearby that could help reconstruct the exact sequence of events?

11. What steps are being taken to keep Unaiz’s family regularly updated and protected from any pressure during this sensitive time?

Justice delayed is indeed justice denied, especially when a child’s life has been lost.

I appeal to the UP Police with utmost respect and sincerity, please treat this case with the urgency and impartiality it deserves.

The family, and all of us who are watching with heavy hearts, are waiting for answers that honour little Unaiz’s memory.
