We have been loving the first Roy of the Rovers graphic novel in the Bollin library and since I already have requests for the rest of the series, this would be an amazing prize!
Don't forget the Book Fair is in school this week! (After School in the library - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)
There are some great books on offer, prices start from £2.99 and every penny you spend helps to buy books for our school!
@thebollin
Some of the Y3's are really enjoying picking out and showing me which books are their favourite lately. Not only does it help me pick books for them to read next, it's also great to hear them so excited about reading!
Graphic Novels are a great way into long-term reading for pleasure for so many children. These year 5 children are so eager for their next fix that they've started leaving me post it note reminders! Don't worry year 5, they're on the way!
Check out our fabulous new book display, made entirely by our Y6 Librarians! I loved the reading quotes they chose and can't wait to read more of their post-it note reviews :)
If Christmas books aren't your thing then we also have lots of award nominated books in the library from @CostaBookAwards @CILIPCKG @lolbookawards and #BluePeterBookAwards
A big thank you to one of our Y6 librarians who has very generously donated two copies of the second book in @EmerStamp's Pig series to the library as a birthday book!
More great @MrEPrimary gift guides, this time for KS2 children. Why not follow the Icelandic tradition and choose one to read together on Christmas Eve?
I absolutely love these book gift guides from @MrEPrimary for some Christmas present inspiration. Take a look at the EYFS and KS1 suggestions, you can find them here; https://t.co/AnFjtaAB4G
It's sneak peak time again! Check out the books making their way into the library this term (including some award nominees and some great festive reads🎄) The tricky part is choosing what to read first!
Yesterday two of our Y6 librarians emailed 'Pig' from 'The Unbelievable Top Secret Diary of Pig' by
@EmerStamp. They asked lots of great questions! 'What inspired Pig to write the book?' 'Why should children read?' Check out our reply from Pig!
We love a read aloud! This week we shared one of Tracey Corderoy’s Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam tales. Did you know Tracey has also written some longer first chapter book stories too? They make great bedtime reads 🛌 📖
2G love listening to different blurbs first before choosing which book takes their fancy. @BollinLibrary The children will get to change their book again next Friday.
