PSA. This is to remind you that people -Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Animist, Christian -everyone has a right to their beliefs. There'll never be a time where everyone is of your religion. We're stuck with each other till the world ends - or till we die - whichever comes 1st
This Rembrance day, I also want to speak to the survivors. The ones who live on.
You did well. You fought for the dream you saw, a dream of what Nigeria could be.
You werent wrong to hope, to believe, to fight, and to try to make Nigeria a better place.
ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020
Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country.
On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life.
We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice.
As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights.
Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future.
May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated.
A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO
6 Years Later! We are still dealing with Insecurity, hunger, poverty, lack of proper health care and the highest level of corruption and impunity. The saddest part is that we are even more divided as a people at a time when we should be most united.
I hope one day we truly realize the power that we have as citizens and stop allowing a few selfish individuals destroy the success and prosperity of the majority of us.
Till then, ✌🏾 and 🤍
ColdHubs is one of the most beautiful Nigerian business stories out there, because it solves a painfully simple problem: good food rotting in the sun before anyone can sell it.
— Founded by Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu who was an agricultural radio host travelling to meet farmers. In 2013 at Farin Gada Market, he saw mountains of cabbages turning to trash, and the farmers there pleaded for storage so they could sell later. He launched ColdHubs in 2015, based in Owerri.
— These are walk-in cold rooms placed right inside markets and farm clusters. Rooftop solar panels of about 5.5kW power them off-grid, around the clock.
— Farmers stack their produce in plastic crates inside, and the room holds a steady 5 °C, stretching shelf life from about 2 days to as long as 21.
— The genius part is the pricing, a trader pays roughly 100 Naira per 20kg crate per day, so even a small tomato seller can afford it.
— ColdHubs learned it worked better to own and maintain the rooms themselves, guaranteeing farmers reliable cooling, which is basically "cooling as a service."
— It cuts spoilage by up to 80% and reportedly doubles vendor income, from about $60 to $120 a month
— They recruit and train local women as hub operators and market promoters
— It won the $2 million Food Planet Prize in 2022, the world's largest award in the food and environment space
— The newer ColdHubs 2.0 swapped batteries for ice-based cooling, and their app Coldtivate helps with inventory and market price prediction
— As of 2025, it ran over 50 hubs across more than 20 states, serving over 11,000 users.
AI was supposed to make us work less
I've never been this tired in my life
most days I have up to 10 agents running at the same time. one fixing a bug, one writing pages, one refactoring something I already forgot I asked for, 3 other I have no idea what they are doing but i suppose i ask it?
and I jump from conversation to conversation all day
compared to 5 years ago, I probably context switch 100x more
by the end of the day my brain is fried. completely toasted. nothing left, not even for the people I love
I call it the fried brain effect
thought it was just me but almost every founder I talk to lately says the exact same thing
we got superpowers, and somehow the pressure only went up. if you can ship 10x more, you feel like you have to ship 10x more. every single day
I don't have a solution
honestly I have no idea where this goes from here
anyone else feeling this?
1970s: A young Demas Nwoko working on the famous sculptural wooden chairs and pillars he was commissioned to do by the Military Government in the 1970s.
These chairs were carved from a single tree trunk each and were made without nails or glue.

You don’t solve poverty by teaching everyone to become millionaires. You solve poverty by building an economy where ordinary work can produce a decent life.
This may sound woke but I promise you it is not. I don’t even care for stupid woke ideas generally but I will share this random thought I’ve had for a while now.
I am personally against the idea of animal zoos, large fish aquariums, bird cages and other forceful confinement of wild animals in artificial unnatural environments just for human amusement and financial revenue.
Why are we capturing a shark that should be in an ocean and locking it up in a glass tank? Why do you buy a bird that should be flying and locking it up in a cage hanging in your living room like it’s some kind of dead art work? Why do we have a lion locked up in a zoo (and in some countries like Nigeria, the lions are even starved)! What is the sense in this?
I will concede that there are valid exceptions to what I’m saying. Like there are some animals like some dogs/cats that choose human company and live in human houses. I’m not talking about those ones. I’m talking specifically about naturally wild animals forcefully captured and forcefully incarcerated in unnatural conditions purely for revenue and entertainment purposes.
Ask yourself:
Do you think a shark will opt to be locked up in a glass tank? Do you think a bird will volunteer to be trapped in a cage in your sitting room? If the bird truly loves you and will rather be there with you, why is it in a cage? Why not let it out of the cage and watch what that bird does when it is left alone?
I would rather we lived in a world where zoos and forceful animal confinements in unnatural conditions are outlawed.
For me it is better if we only have large game reserves where animals live in a near-natural environment. This is if we must confine animals at all, maybe for the good purpose of conservation and prevention of extinction. Otherwise, if we are being honest, the existence of zoos, and unnatural forceful imprisonment of animals in environments they will rather not live in, is completely bizarre and irrational to me.
However maybe that’s just me.
