Yesterday a thunderstorm swept over just before sunset. I went outside anticipating rainbows. No luck... but there was this incredible cloud formation exploding over my farm, lit by the setting sun! Why do I watch the sun rise and set EVERY day? To be left speechless by Nature!

Have you ever watched a Dragonfly closely? From one spot it swivels its head to scan the sky, repeatedly taking off and returning promptly, usually with a prize in its fearsome mouth! This one has a bee! They are ferocious predators. Will you ever look at Dragonflies the same?

Frost crystals on my window this morning, backlit by the sunrise. I see line, shape, space, value, form, texture, color, balance, movement, rhythm, contrast, pattern, unity, content and context. It evokes emotion. I declare this frost to be ART. Some will disagree. Your thoughts?

I learned about throwing boiling water into frigid air long ago on NH winter camping trips. This trick is trending on social media, so reposting this. 71yo me, tossing boiling water, at minus 20degF (minus 29degC), in my shorts, getting it right only after too many takes! Ouch!!

I walk my property every morning. This pic is after a recent snowstorm. I LOVE MY FARM! I get a super good feeling knowing I OWN MY OWN HOME! WOW! But! I had to wait my whole life to be a homeowner! What can society do to ensure more people get to be happy homeowners like me?

I was fortunate to be at my children’s births. This is my younger son. He turned 40 yesterday. Birth is such an extraordinary event! The seeming impossibility that it will actually work! The effort, the drama, the pain...then, those first gulps of air! I have witnessed MIRACLES.
