NEW: Palestine protester climbs up 80-foot-tall Christmas tree in San Francisco, demanding the cancellation of Christmas.

His effort was unsuccessful.

The protester had a sign that read "Free Palestine." A Palestine flag was also placed about halfway up the tree.

Police ended up arresting four people for assault and felony vandalism.

The man was a part of a protest where protesters called for "no Christmas as usual." Signs that were seen at the protest read: "No US Military Aid" and "No Xmas As Usual in a Genocide."

Unfortunately for the protesters, Christmas is still on 🎄
