Bishop Oyedepo has spoken about his reason why he will consider being the President of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria a demotion. In his sermon at the Freedom Banquet Service at the Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, he said "I have said over the years that I am not surprised that this Commission is where we are. Blessed be God for the grace that brought us here but I would have been surprised if we were not here. Why? From the wisdom of scriptures, I have discovered my future. It is not left to chance. I knew when He said to me 41 years ago, "My son, there is a place for you on top, if you are interested." I said Yes Lord, I am interested. Church Gist. "Then whatever I tell you to do, do it." Simple Equation. There is a place for every one of us on top. That was when I said I would consider it a demotion to be invited to be President of Nigeria. It sounds so sarcastic and arrogant. Nigeria is a great nation but He said "If you do what I tell you to do, I will set you on high above all nations" (Deuteronomy 28:1). Between one nation and above all nations, which one is better? What will you choose? I chose all nations because that is what His Word says, April 1984. We didn't have a street but I saw there is a place above all nations and I saw what takes a man there. Stop guessing."

He also spoke about several notable media outlets listing him as the richest pastor in the world. He said
"One day, I was in my house and someone called me, they said "Daddy have you seen something?" I asked what is something? I don't see anything. I see Genesis to Revelation. He said they said you are the richest pastor in the world. Church Gist. I said they are not lying. I don't borrow, I don't beg. So what is riches? My wealth is not what is in my pocket. My wealth is stacked up in the riches of His glory. That's wealth, they call it true riches. True riches answer to every need, not your bank account. I remember when I said I can never be poor because I found it."

Some months ago, Donald Trump was facing trial. With 88 criminal counts across 4 criminal cases, he was almost destined to go to jail. The first by a former US President. With a justice system backed by the most powerful government in the world set against him, it was only a matter of time... actually later, it became a matter of time and an election... Then came a BIG BUT...there was a 17 year old prophecy waiting for fulfillment that Trump will be elected for 2 terms. The prophecy thus became an additional factor regardless of how people tried to downplay it.

In Trump's first term, he was impeached twice. Yet his hot blood was unrelenting. In January 2020, he left the White House rather unceremoniously after alleged attempts to usurp the Constitution barely 2 weeks earlier on 6th January. He was considered incapable of retaining control over the Grand Old Party (GOP) but somehow he did despite all his sometimes 'inappropriateness' and lack of political correctness. Gradually the stage was set for the most significant and consequential election in US History. He took the GOP Presidential ticket with a Tsunamic campaign with paucity of funds. The conventional media tried to denigrate him but it seems now that they were actually campaigning for him as his campaign funds had to be shared between funding lawyers, court cases and paying for advertisements.

Trump was indicted multiple times.
His mugshot was taken in jail. He was mocked and labelled a fraudster and felon. He almost got assassinated twice but only got more popular. After the debate in which put Biden to sleep, he appeared to have lost steam with the performance against Kamala, the woman who didn't want to associate with the fact that 'Jesus is Lord. Even when Church Gist posted in support of Trump, we collected "woto woto' but as always we were not deterred.
Continuing with Donald 'Jaiyeoba' Trump, they called him a Nazi, a Fascist and a rapist.
Despite it all, they couldn’t stop this man of destiny from becoming the 45th and now 47th President.

In doing this, he took every swing state, the popular vote and sweeping the electoral college!!!

If you are alive and reading this today, you are witnessing American history real time and we at Church Gist are a witness of this to the people. Isaiah 55:4.

How can we not remember that 2 respectable Nigerians in the present move of God, Pastor William Kumuyi, the Defender of the Faith and Nathaniel Bassey are in the USA at this time to pronounce God's blessings and favour on the USA.

This is a New Era
This is destiny
Indeed the hand of God has raised his servant out of the dust and set him with the princes, even with the princes of his people.

God has turned around the captivity of Zion.
He has turned around the captivity of Trump.

The same way he is turning your captivity... Our captivity.

In his opening speech he made bold to say that he.. WE... (Both male and female) would never forget our God.
