@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Missable details being relevant later doesn’t mean every detail will be relevant later.
You wanna watch worse media for the rest of your life? You’re the miserable one complaining about background details while simultaneously saying that it’s fine for major parts of stories to -
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY A small part of the finale ends in anticlimax because the actual climax is way better and isn’t reliant on what’s essentially a background detail? How awful. You just sound like a bitter theoriser who’s mad their theory wasn’t true.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Because the intro remained the same? Like what are you talking about.
It was fan service and a plot device to get the Stans to fight. Not every plot point is gonna be used in a way that benefits the protagonists.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Writers put it into the show to reward the viewers for having noticed it. But it wasn’t originally planned to be important which is why it didn’t end up mattering. And even then it still served a purpose in the narrative so it’s not like it was all bad.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY “If it really was so irrelevant, why bring it up in the finale at all?” It was fan service. It originally was only put in the intro because it looked cool. It was never meant to be important but the Gravity falls fandom became huge and theorised about literally everything so the-
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Genuinely what build up are you referring to? Appearing in the intro for a split second isn’t build up.
And you shouldn’t be fine with major part of main characters being underdeveloped/dropped just because you like to imagine. You watch a show, you don’t imagine a show.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Keen eyed viewers as they would’ve been receiving major foreshadowing for the big twist of the show as well as the main antagonist.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Even if the zodiac never appeared in the show. It could’ve easily being interpreted as hinting at Bill’s existence before his debut(which the actual show does a lot) and there is code on it saying “Stan is not what he seems” so it’s not like it would’ve been without reward for -
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY Thing is, The amazing digital circus does very much so set up a mystery. It can be a character drama while also containing mysteries.
The zodiac is not major, you’re grabbing that from you ass. It’s in the intro for less than a second. If most people miss it then it ain’t major.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY The difference is that C&A is actively set up as a mystery. The camera literally ominously pans to the C&A logo in episode 1. Scratch is implied to be important to why Caine lied about not being able to mess with minds but is completely dropped afterwards.
@MaficMonstroci1@Swag_K1RBY You are far too hung up on the zodiac. Most people who are casually watching the show probably don’t even notice it. It would be bad writing to have the resolution to the final conflict be something that a large part of your audience wouldn’t even be aware of.
