@lesleyasom @Spaniels_Rule@muffinio234 The quarterly vet visits are on top of the yearly independent inspection by a red tractor assessor. The idea is that by getting farmers to work more closely with veterinary professionals, welfare will be improved - doesn't really work if the vets not honest though
@farmingjourno You can if you want to, I'll warn you now that I'm not anyone particularly special! I'm sure there are people with way more sheep and fancy gear out there!
We need agricultural goods imported under future trade deals produced to the same high standards, or higher, as UK products. It is essential that UK farmers are not undercut by cheaper imports produced to lower standards and that the UK public is protected from poor quality goods
@alastairwilko@HighFarndale@awedgewood@barrywheldon Aye that's the one! The guy had a camera with a massive zoom on apparently and got a good photo of it flying so that's definitely what it is. How it got there though I have no idea, must be lost!
@HighFarndale@awedgewood You say that, but dad had a national trust bird man at his farm in Bransdale last week and he photographed an eagle! It's not far over the moor to Farndale so watch out! ๐๐ฆ
The #30minworms farmland survey is a great way to assess soil health (unless you are scared of worms like me ๐).
Their helpsheet shows the difference between adult and juvenile worms and the 3 different types of worms which is pretty interesting!
